This seminar will walk you through the essentials of planning and building a successful veggie garden from the ground up. Join Master Gardener Susan Berry as she covers key topics like garden layout, soil preparation and amendments, choosing between raised beds and in-ground planting, and how to make the most of your space. She’ll also touch on companion planting and simple strategies to help your garden handle dry conditions. Whether you’re brand new or looking to improve your current setup, you’ll leave with practical tips and the confidence to dig in this season. Learn how their fresh, seasonal fruit and vegetable packages work, what’s included, and how a CSA can bring farm-fresh produce straight to your table. Plus, WLFS is a Friday pick-up location, making it easy and convenient to grab your share each week. Whether you’re new to CSA or a seasoned member, this is a great opportunity to connect with local farmers and support fresh, local food.

This seminar covers seasonal pond care, algae and aquatic plant prevention, safe treatments for fish, pets, and wildlife, and eco-friendly solutions tailored for Vermont and New Hampshire ponds. Perfect for first-time pond owners or anyone looking to keep their water clear and thriving all season long.

Kids can enjoy an in-store scavenger hunt (complete it and get a lollipop!), a free bean plant activity, and a $5 decorate-a-pot workshop where they can plant flower seeds for Mom.
