Q: How do I know what grooming service my dog needs?
A: Please complete the appointment request form, providing details about your dog’s breed and coat type. There is also a comment section where you can include any additional information. Our experienced groomers will assess your dog’s breed, coat condition, and grooming needs during intake, and we’ll consult with you before starting any services to ensure we meet your dog’s specific requirements.
Q: How long does a grooming session take?
A: Grooming times vary depending on the size, breed, and condition of your dog’s coat. On average, a session can take anywhere from 1 to 3 hours. We'll give you an estimated time when you book the appointment.
Q: What if my dog is nervous?
A: Our groomers are experienced with nervous and anxious dogs, and we work to make the grooming experience as calm and stress-free as possible. We may also recommend a pre-grooming consultation or gentle handling techniques. Services depend on your pet’s cooperation. If a service (like nail trimming) causes stress or discomfort, we may need to stop. No refunds for uncooperative pets, but we’ll do our best to keep them happy!
Q: Do you use natural or hypoallergenic products?
A: Yes, we offer natural and hypoallergenic grooming products for dogs with sensitive skin or allergies. Please let us know if your dog has any sensitivities, and we'll make sure to use the appropriate products.
Q: What is your cancellation policy?
A: We kindly ask for at least 24 hours' notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment. This helps us accommodate other clients and manage our schedule effectively. Please call 603-298-8600, option 5.
Q: What happens if I’m late for my grooming appointment?
A: If you're running late, please call us to let us know. While we will do our best to accommodate you, arriving late may shorten the grooming time, or in some cases, we may need to reschedule your appointment. Please call 603-298-8600, option 5.
Q: How often should I get my dog groomed?
A: It depends on your dog’s breed, coat type, and activity level. Most dogs benefit from grooming every 4 to 6 weeks, but some may need more frequent visits. We can help you determine the best schedule for your dog.
Q: Do you groom puppies or senior dogs?
A: Yes! We love grooming puppies and senior dogs. We tailor our approach to their age and temperament to ensure a gentle and positive experience for them.
Q: Can I stay with my dog during the grooming session?
A: While we understand you may want to stay with your dog, we generally recommend that you enjoy walking around West Lebanon Feed & Supply or run other local errands. Staying with your dog can sometimes cause anxiety or make the grooming process more difficult. Rest assured, your dog will be in good hands!
Q: Do you offer grooming for specific breeds?
A: We groom all breeds, from small to large. Our groomers are trained in a variety of breed-specific cuts and styles to ensure your dog looks and feels their best.
Q: How can I pay for grooming services?
A: We accept various payment methods, including credit cards, debit cards, and cash. We also offer gift certificates and Woof Wash passes for your convenience!
Q: Do you offer discounts or loyalty programs?
A: Yes, we have a couple loyalty programs for different services we offer for regular customers and periodic promotions throughout the year. Be sure to sign up for our newsletter or follow us on social media to stay updated on our latest deals!
Q: Do I need an appointment for the self-serve dog wash?
A: Yes, we recommend making an appointment or calling to check availability to ensure we have a wash station available.
Q: What should I do if my dog gets sprayed by a skunk?
A: If your dog gets sprayed by a skunk, don't worry—we're here to help! We offer a special skunk odor removal treatment that effectively neutralizes the smell. Please do an initial treatment at home using a deskunk product sold at WLFS or a home remedy to help reduce the odor before your appointment. Then bring your dog in for a full wash to ensure the smell is completely gone. Please add on the DeSkunk Treatment to your Bubble Bath appointment when booking.
Q: What should I do if my dog has ticks?
A: If your dog has ticks, please inform us ahead of time if possible. We offer tick removal for an additional fee. Our grooming staff is also happy to offer suggestions on how to manage ticks moving forward.
