Classes & seminars at WLFS
Learn something new. Bring a neighbor.
Free seminars and hands-on classes in our new on-site classroom. Gardening, pond care, animal nutrition, seasonal crafts, and more — all with room for 18 around the table.
Free seminars
A WLFS team member or guest expert walks the group through a topic, with time for questions. Bring a notebook — no fee, no commitment, just show up.
Hands-on classes
You go home with something you made — a wreath, a planted container, and so on. A small fee covers materials and is listed on the event page.

Our space
We built our classroom because the best part of working here has always been the conversations at the register. So we made room for those conversations to go deeper.
- Tables and seating for working through projects
- Demo area visible from every seat
- Restroom on-site in the main store
- Free parking in our north and south lots
- Bottled water always on hand, free coffee before class
- Most classes are free; seminars often come with a store coupon
- Paid classes refunded if you cancel 48 hours ahead
We group our classes into a few areas. New topics get added all the time — check the events page for what's currently on the schedule.
Gardening & growing
Veggie basics, container gardening, seed starting, soil and amendments — practical "what do I do this weekend" classes.
Pond care
Keeping your pond clear, healthy fish, seasonal maintenance, choosing plants and pumps.
Animal nutrition & care
Feeding chickens, livestock basics, pet nutrition, supplements and treats.
Homesteading
Canning and preserving, water-bath and pressure basics, jams, pickles, and pantry strategies.
Seasonal & hands-on craft
Wreath making, holiday decor, gift-able projects — small materials fee, take the project home with you.
A look at what we've been up to. Most of these come back around — if there's one you missed, sign up for announcements and we'll let you know when it's on the calendar again.
Free seminar
Free seminarHow do I sign up for a class?
Head to our events page and click the class you want. Free seminars usually just need a name and email so we know how many chairs to set up. Paid classes are paid at registration.
Do I need to be a WLFS customer?
Nope. Anyone's welcome — though don't be surprised if you leave with a bag of soil and a new pair of boots.
Can I request a class on a specific topic?
Please do. Email us at info@westebanonsupply.com or mention it next time you're in the store. If enough folks ask about something, we'll put it on the calendar.
Will you run a class again?
Almost always, yes. Sign up for announcements and you'll hear about the next session.
Can I host a private class or group event?
Reach out — we're open to it depending on the topic and timing.
Do you offer classes for kids or families?
Some, yes. Each event listing will say if it's family-friendly or adult-focused.
